Cueva del Chacho
The leader (caudillo federal) General Ángel Vicente Peñaloza, called el Chacho, hero of the people in La Rioja, who fought for federal Argentina, born in Huaja (small village, where one can visit his birthplace), used this cavern of red sandstone as a refuge.

Los Mogotes Colorados
The Mogotes Colorados are hills of red sandstone in the Sierra de Paganzo. In this mineral water region, surrounded by beautiful hills, there is a natural pool where the water is at 34ºC, at 450m above sea level. From here one gets a splendid view on the Famatima.
