In the Valle de la Luna there are pumas (Felis Puma), guanacos and maras (Creole hares), vizcachas of the mountain, red foxes, quirquinchos, ñandúes (American ostrich), condors and poisonous snakes as the choral and the yarará. Toads and frogs can be seen especially in the rainy season. Numerous lizards dwell here. Eaglets, caranchos (Polyborus Tharus), owls and martinetas (Rhyncotus rufescens), can also be observed.
