The climate is extremely dry, hot during the day and very cold at night. There is practically no rain during the summer, but it can snow intensely, although it is not very common. The snow is usually accompanied by the " white wind", a storm in winter which can last for a couple of days.
It does not rain more than 250 mm a year, and sometimes it does not even reach 50mm.
The wind, together with lack of oxygen due to the hight can produce "apunamiento" which has a headache and dizziness as a consequence..
