The climate of Mendoza is dry and temperate and its temperature varies with the height and diminishes towards the south. Its temperature average is 15 º C in summer with a maximum of 30º C in summer and a minimum of 7º C in winter. In the high mountain the climate is cold with temperatures of 4º and 7ºC. In summer the temperature can climb to 30º, in winter it snows frequently . In the plain the summers are very hot and winters are very cold. The rains reach only 200 mm a year. The Zonda, blows when the winter is about to end. It is a dry and warm wind, that comes down the hillsides of the mountains drying the atmosphere quickly. In this area there is sometimes frost and it hails.
