How to Get to the Glaciers

From El Calafate, along the provincial route 11, skirt
the Lago Argentino.
(Bahía Redonda, Isla Solitaria).
Along the Patagonia steppe one can observe in their natural habitat guanacos,
ñandúes (american ostrich) and foxes, the hills Cerro Comisión,
de los Elefantes, the river Centinela, Cerro Frías (guanacos),
typical Patagonia farms, and crossing the river Mitre one enters the National
Park los Glaciares.
Along 35 km of woods, one skirts the Brazo RIco of the Lago Argentino.
In the Curva de los Suspiros (panoramic view), one has the first view
of the Glacier. There is a parking lot where a fee has to be paid.
