To get to the Glaciar Perito Moreno , it is necessary to go to El Calafate, a pleasant city with good hotels that is 80 km away from the glacier. From El Calafate one can visit the Upsala Glacier and all other glaciers as well, most of the tours leave from this city.

National Park Los Glaciares
One of the big tourist attractions of Argentina is in this park: all the big glaciers that descend from the Andes which drain into Lago Argentino and Lago Viedma and which in turn drain into the Río Santa Cruz. These glaciers were fed by the storms of the Pacific and the pressure from the accumulated load, crystallised during centuries.
