The Climate in Tierra del Fuego

The climate of the Earth of the Fire, is marked by the winds that sweep the island during the whole year. The spring and the summer are the windiest times. The fauna is rich in marine birds. The fox and the guanaco are the animals that are most frequently met with.
In winter the temperature can reach -12º C and in summer 25ºC. The medium temperature is 7ºC which varies according to the hight or the sea.
Rains are plentiful in winter and the the winds are mainly from the west. The climate changes often but it is never extreme. In winter the days are very short and it is advisable to go trekking in winter for people without experience.
