Haberton Farm
To visit the farm (85-km to the east of Ushuaia) it is recommended to make reservations in Ushuaia. This farm still belongs to the Bridges family, the descendants of the first European colonists in Tierra del Fuego. The Reverend Thomas Bridges settled down in 1871 to evangelise the Indians. In 1886 he went to live in Haberton, the farm that was given to him by the National Government in recognition for his work. From Haberton it is necessary to follow the road to the River Moat, along this road one can see the most beautiful coast in Argentina where forests and mountains skirt the Beagle Channel.
