Shopping in Buenos Aires
Big and luxurious malls have been built in Buenos Aires which combine excellent shops and food patios, with interesting architectural projects.
A couple of good examples are the Patio Bullrich in Libertador 750; an old building where livestock was sold was transformed into an elegant commercial centre, its design has been rewarded with an international prize.
The other one, the Galerías Pacífico in Florida 753, was an old building that had been headquarters of the Railrway Company.Today it has been declared National Historical Monument.
Other big shopping centres are Alto Palermo, on Av.Santa Fé 3251 and Paseo Alcorta in Salguero and Figueroa Alcorta. There are excellent shopping streets, as the elegant avenue Santa Fé, the avenue Alvear or Florida Street and their adjacent streets.
